Technical requirements

Dear participants, In this chapter you can find out more about the selection board’s requirements for films.

Each participant sends a letter to the festival by email – info@artkinofest.ru – to which he/she attaches SEPARATE FILES.

1. A film’s review and a download links

(only links to Yandex Disk, Google Disk or Vimeo are accepted)

2. An entry submission

Please, describe in the Subject of the letter the “Nomination”, the “Film’s Title” and First and Last names of the director.
Example: no longer than 30 minutes, “Mechanical morning”, Andrei Alexeev.

(You are recommended to structure the subject of the letter strictly within proposed frames; in this case we will open and handle your submission letters in the first place!!!)

3. An expressive film frame for our catalogue

(TIFF or JPG, resolving capacity minimum 300 dpi).
The file with an expressive film frame for our catalogue should be named after your film.
Example of a file’s name: Mechanical morning.jpg

4. The director’s photo for our catalogue

(TIFF or JPEG, resolving capacity minimum 300 dpi). A vertical rectangular photo, full face in close up. The director’s photo should be named with his/her first and last names. The director’s photo should be named with his/her first and last names.

PLEASE SEND ALL THE FILES IN ONE LETTER!

Technical requirements

- The format – MP4
- Video Codec – H.264
- Resolving Capacity – Full HD (1920x1080)
- Framing rate – 25 fps
- Sound – 48 kHz

We accept only the films of the format MP4 through links to Yandex Disk, Google Disk or Vimeo

Films disposed on other file hosting services are not allowed!!!

Hard-wired subtitles are not allowed. There could be hard-wired subtitles (Russian) if the film contains alien speech or texts. Russian speech doesn’t require subtitles.

The author/participant his/herself normalizes the sound, removes interlace, synchronizes the sound, video and subtitles and copes with other audio/video issues.

In addition authors provide (if any):
- another variant of the film with English subtitles for international screenings as a part of screening tour of the festival. The file should meet the requirements for HD variant of the film.

- National film certificate

- Cue sheet

- Dialog continuity script
